Summer is not quite over and so if you are want to mix up your white wine line-up, look no further than Gavi! Gavi is made from 100% Cortese grape variety which turns into a crisp white with high acidity and low body, a perfect summertime sipper - or porch pounder- you chose- no judgement! š

Gavi is a great alternative if you like crisp clean whites with flavors of citrus and green apple without oak influence. It's a tasty substitute to pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc or Chablis. To preserve Gavi's fresh flavors, it's best consumed young.

Cortese is grown in the region of Piemonte in northwestern Italy, specifically the provence of Alessandria. Have you heard of Gavi di Gavi? That is just the same grape variety but the this one also comes from the actual town of Gavi, thus Gavi di (from) Gavi.
If you try it and like it, I would love to hear. Or maybe you have a favorite summer white? Let me know!
